How we Met
Our story begins at 70 miles per hour on a narrow two lane highway one frigid January afternoon. Oblivious to the importance of the moment, two eager bank employees navigate a Nissan Pathfinder across the barren plains of northeastern Iowa. The conversation flows effortlessly as a friendship begins to sprout. That evening, the pair enjoy a quiet dinner that, after a few glasses of wine, gives way to an impromptu Elvis Presley birthday party at the local pub next door. Upon returning home to Colorado, the bonding continues over pizza, puzzles, music, and beer. Days go by and the new friendship quickly blossoms into a romance. It's quite clear that this brilliant, small-town bombshell and magnificent, rambling Canadian had each happened upon their respective soulmate.

Our Life Together
After finding each other, Haley and Nick spent two unforgettable years together in Colorado. Living with their dog Koda in a comfortable Highlands Ranch home, they enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling, running, and all that the mountains had to offer. Sadly, Colorado's generous space and respect for personal privacy proved too much to bear and in April 2014, our heroes saddled Koda with all that he could carry and made the long eastward journey toward the Confined Life in New York City. Haley and Nick spent their time working, exploring, running, and eating their way through the city.

Proposal
Nick (finally) proposed to Haley on October 20th 2014. He surprised her with a picnic on a small beach in Lovell, Maine. After careful consideration (including short deliberation with Koda), Haley agreed to make Nick the happiest man on earth. The two enjoyed a bottle of wine and some delectable treats while taking in the incredible scenery.
WEDDING
Family and friends gathered on October 17, 2015 in Portland to celebrate the union of Haley and Nick. After a scenic ceremony on a brisk fall afternoon, the group enjoyed a train tour of the Eastern Promenade, followed by drinks at the Observatory, and a delicious dinner and reception at a favorite restaurant. The couple couldn't have asked for a better way to officially begin their long journey together.
